David Mulvaney, president of V-Blox Corporation, has grown companies all of his adult life. By the age of 22 he was self employed and has never looked back, growing several companies to become multi-million dollar companies. Dave has never thought it odd to put in the effort necessary to produce a winning company; it is in his nature to do so. In the late 80’s and early 90’s the niche to be in was security and surveillance and Dave had one of the largest companies in the southeast. His extensive background in electronics allowed him to be on the forefront of so many changes that came in the industry that he boasted a customer base that included UPS, Northrop Grumman, The United States Postal Service and the FBI, to name a few. What Dave attributes to his ongoing success in life and business has been his commitment to honesty and integrity.
In 1998 Dave saw a huge opportunity in the power quality and energy savings sector of the electrical marketplace and founded Florida Power Systems, Inc., long before it was popular or politically correct to go green. By 2002 Florida Power Systems was doing business all over the US, Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica and China. But there was a substantial problem that Dave needed to fix before he could continue. Many manufacturers of the products his company offered did not hold the same values that Dave did so by 2003 he abandoned all of them and hired a team to develop the best products in the industry. The V-Blox brand was born. The first product manufactured where surge and lightning protection products which is where the V-Blox name came from. The name actually means voltage blocking systems. Florida Power Systems became V-Blox Corporation in 2004 essentially becoming its product name. Now, V-Blox manufactures thousands of products that not only protect equipment but also save energy and increase efficiency and continues to develop products to do so.
V-Blox Corporation is located in Jacksonville Florida which is where its products are manufactured by Americans. Dave feels it is essential to create a work environment to which he would want to work in if he were the employee. V-Blox employees have a plethora of benefits including full health care, 401K, Aflac, paid vacations, paid holidays and company provided lunches cooked by the company VP Scott Hartley every Friday. A great place to work and do business with.
Dave lives in Ponte Vedra Beach Florida with his wife Beth, son David, daughter Rachel and Yellow Lab named Turbo.
