Scott is a father of 2 children, a 10 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. He is married to his wife Loretta and they just celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary. His professional background started at the age of 21 when he was taken on as an apprentice with a company called Advanced Lock Safe and Key in Jacksonville FL. The president and founder was Dave Mulvaney. He started with absolutely no experience in locks, safes, or keys but dedicated himself to learning all aspects of this business. During his time with Advanced and working with Dave, he was taught that one of the most important characteristics you can learn is “work ethic.” After 3 years with Advanced Lock, Scott was offered a position to run a distribution center in Charlotte NC by US Lock Corporation. This branch was to be the smallest in size and profit of the 7 existing branches that US Lock had at the time. After 2 years Scott’s branch exceeded the estimated total sales of $2 million annually by grossing over $4.3 million annually, at the same time his branch was the 3rd most profitable branch yet still the smallest in size and with the fewest amount of employees. Scott attributes his success to what he learned at Advanced Lock, “work ethic.” After 7 years with US Lock, Scott was fully involved with all operations with our distribution center when a day came when the company grew too big and was bought out by company after company. He knew he wanted to get back to his roots and contacted Dave to see about Florida Power Systems Inc and what selling TVSS equipment was all about. Scott was tired of the “big corporation” life and asked if Florida Power Systems was hiring. Dave said he “was not” but followed that with “why don’t you start tomorrow.” Scott is Vice President of V-Blox Corporation and is in charge of all facets of manufacturing and operations.
